St. Patrick's Working day is subsequent Thursday, but the festivities really kick off on Saturday, with the yearly Bath Blarney Days parade. Only in its 3rd yr, Blarney Days has become a bona fide event for the City of Ships. The parade begins at 11:00 a.m., rolling via the heart of downtown with a the usual marching bands and fire trucks complemented by pipe bands for the holiday. Distinctive to the Tub parade are the Pub Scouts, a kazoo band with headquarters at Byrnes Irish Pub. Things will get loud insida, as the Maine Public Safety Pipe & Drum Corps will entertain throughout the afternoon. As much as obtaining signed with a major document label, it's difficult to get a deal anywhere. Much more and much more bands are performing things themselves to cut out that cost.
